About
A daughter to immigrant parents from Durango, Mexico, Gabrielle Garcia is a writer dedicated to storytelling through various mediums. She identifies as a Mexican-American from Lincoln Heights, Los Angeles, and holds a degree in Literature from UC Santa Cruz.
With over eight years of writing experience, she has co-authored several books, written sales copy, published poetry, and written entertainment articles. Recently, Gabrielle self-published a short novel titled, “Why You Keep Things,” which tells the story of intergenerational trauma between a mother and daughter in the city of Los Angeles. The story weaves art, poetry, and short vignettes that tell the story of an immigrant family in a historical, transcendental neighborhood enclave of LA.
As a versatile creative, Gabrielle is heavily involved in the world of film and music. Since 2018, she has been involved with productions ranging from commercial sets to promos, to fashion shoots and music videos. She also works with many local artists and musicians, specializing in artist biographies and acting as a liaison between studios and other producers or directors.
Gabrielle has traveled all over the world to document and explore. Those experiences are in the blog section of this website. When she is not working on new projects, she enjoys skateboarding, cooking, and reading.
